I love reading books that inspire us to become more than who we are; and so far, I have come across some of the best motivational books you wouldn't want to miss. These are some of my reviews of the most inspirational books out there. The Best Motivational Book: The Secret. On the top of my list is The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. It is basically the book version of the world-renowned film of the same title, and it's a wonderful accompaniment to life.
What could be more motivating than a book that teaches you how to achieve everything that you've ever wanted to accomplish - whatever that may be - using the law of attraction? This is a book that says nothing is impossible and more importantly, makes you believe it.The Second Best Motivational Book: The Alchemist. The most inspirational books aren't always self-help in nature. Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist is a must on every person's shelf.
The book is a compilation of incredible essays by individuals such as The Dalai Lama, Paul McCartney, Willie Nelson, Helen Thomas, Oliver Stone, Martina Navratilova, Stella McCartney, Russell Simmons, Brigitte Bardot, Moby, Kevin Bacon, Sean Astin and many others. Each individual gives an account of a moment in their life when they realized that their world goes beyond their arm's reach. The moment they realize that they can make a difference. The moment they realize there's work to be done. The author of the book is Ingrid Newkirk. If you're an animal lover extraordinaire (welcome to the club!), you probably recognize her name as the president of PETA. I've long admired this woman's commitment and boldness. As someone who is about as bold as a 2 day old kitten on a good day, I admire boldness. Ingrid Newkirk's got it in spades.I'll be the first to admit that there have been times when I thought PETA went too far. But, really, isn't that better than not going at all? Most animal lovers would say, "Yes."
While it is indeed one of the most inspiring books I've come across recently, it is never preachy as some books often become. Reading Rubin's work is like reading the adventures of a good friend - funny, down-to-earth and downright inspiring. The Fourth Best Motivational Book: Winning. One of the greatest books when it comes to management is Jack Welch's Winning. Hype can sometimes make a book seem more successful than it really is, but Winning (co-written by wife Suzy Welch) is truly deserving of all its accolades. In this book, the inspirational CEO talks about making the work environment more positive and how to be the best person you can be at work, among others. Packed with a lot of lessons in management, this book is worth every cent you pay.
The book gives totally incredible new ways of how to solve this or that problem. Einstein's way of thinking is described. The Definitive Book of Body Language. The book of Alan Pease is about non-verbal communication. It is well-known that more than 80% of information in course of a communication process is conveyed without words but with our posture and gestures and the tone of the voice. Having read this book you will learn how to communicate and read people much more effectively.
This book would make a beautiful Christmas gift, birthday gift, or graduation present. As Galileo once said, "You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself." That is precisely what this book gives to its reader.I've tried it all the tricks in the book to lose weight and get healthy. I've done Weight Watchers, Nutrisystem, and even the Subway diet. Somehow, none of these diets worked for me until I found out about the Paleo diet or more specifically the Paleo Recipe Book. This diet is like nothing else I have ever done before and if I had not tried all the other tricks and gimmicks out there to get healthy, I probably never would have considered the Paleo lifestyle. Let me save you some hard ache and tell you that this recipe book will legitimately change your life or at the very least your eating habits. The Paleo diet is the sole idea that in order to be happy and healthy, you must look at what you're consuming on a daily bases. Let's take a look at your diet, are there any natural foods in your daily regimen? Now, by natural I don't mean green beans from a can or a strawberry flavored smoothie from McDonald's. I mean natural as in pure, fresh, and raw foods that are not processed and good for you.
The Four Agreements, Don Miguel Ruiz: Maintaining a sense of authenticity and integrity is developed through understanding 'The Four Agreements' by Don Miguel Ruiz. We are bombarded with rules and regulations; don't do this, don't do that, watch what you are doing, be kind, loyal, faithful etc. etc. The four agreements represent a simple system of maintaining your own inner authority while practising being an authentic person with other people.
The Game of Life and How To Play It", Florence Scovel-Shinn: A classic book that was first published in 1925 and remains one of my favourite books of all time. Scovel-Shinn understood the power of our words to manifest either our deepest desires or our most horrendous nightmares. She was a practising metaphysician before anyone knew what a metaphysician was. Her understanding of the principles of manifestation have been copied and used by authors and workshop leaders throughout the world. Even if they have never heard of her, her work shines through and remains the truest and most original work in this area.
However, I don't want you to think that this is just a "results vary" kind of diet and that you are most likely not going to make any progress with your health and weight. Sure, some people may take a few extra weeks to start seeing results but you WILL see results and that is all that matters.Matt from Chula Vista California said, "I was kind of leery at first, not really knowing if I was going to get a really good cookbook, or a collection of recipes with weird ingredients that I would never use. Much to my surprise, I got an excellent cookbook that I use all the time. Such great recipes as Moroccan Chicken, Salmon Fish Cakes, Omelet Muffins, BBQ Grilled Lamb Kebobs, just to name a few that I've tried & loved. Simply put, if you're going to ditch the SAD diet & get back to a more natural way of eating, then the 'Paleo Recipe Book' is a must have!"
